do you play only for ships? do you ignore what's actually in canon and pass off your headcanon as canon to justify your ships? or do you you work within canon and take the necessary time and cr to build up a ship that would be ooc if you just jumped into it immediately?

if you do the last one then only a few people will bitch about you but no one else will care. that same game had a ship that was rushed but otherwise was decently ic, respecting that you can't just throw two characters together just because you like them. everyone complains about mini and chris for a reason, because they're playing calvinball with the canon to make their ships happen and fuck any of their canonmates who have to rp around it. if you're going to do that then musebox or memory loss game.
