I've had people shout at me on the street just for saying hi. Some people are just batshit. I don't think that has much to do with what OP was talking about, tho. Then again maybe OP is the one who blew up at you. lol Who knows?
There really *are* a lot of very entitled people with boundary issues running around the LJ/DW RP world. They're the people that get bitched about in this community all the time. I think a lot of people expect too much out of RP partners and make a lot of assumptions about people who don't want them all up in their business that they probably shouldn't make. If you're ruining people's enjoyment of playing with you by intrusive OOC behavior, you're probably doing something wrong.
