I don't hate castmates warning other characters about villains. What I hate is how the other characters always, always, go along with it. Sure, spiky haired teenager I hardly know, I totally believe that this guy who's been nothing but nice to me is JRPG Hitler! What, it's just your word against his, and you have no evidence? Pish-posh, it's not like anybody actually lies about people they hate!

It's especially annoying if the villain's been there for a while, has established CR, hasn't done anything overtly villainous (and if they're a smart villain, especially in a jamjar game, has possibly established some good guy cred against this exact eventuality)...and everyone believes Joe Random Protagonist who's been there for all of five minutes and has done nothing of note except flying off the handle at the villain.

This. It's totally okay for good guys to warn about villains, but why would everyone just believe them automatically, especially if they have established, positive CR like other anon said.
