Main villain apps, and then tells you that your hero character can't warn anyone because it would be limiting to their villain, thus forcing you to either make your character ignore the villain's posts or come up with some reason that your character wouldn't warn others about the bad guy.

If your hero isn't from their canon I think that's extremely fair to request.

If it's from their canon, though, do the IC thing. Villain will have to deal and they should have looked at the cast list beforehand.

Fuck that. If they want that, they have to do a little work for it. It's not implausible for Villain to see a post by Hero or for him to notice other characters talk about Hero or see him around.

And then make his dastardly first post, but filter it from Hero.

Well, this is a time for communication. Both players have to be willing to compromise. Which is not either "I will tell everyone and you will have to deal with it" or "You can't tell anyone."
