Actually, I'm calling anon naive for not believing that Devon could ever be anything but a perfect little princess in spite of what so many people in this thread are saying.

I don't think she's a pretty princess, but I think it's kinda horseshit that everyone expects us to take their stories at face value without any solid proof

You're on an anonymous community, brosis. You're never going to know for sure who's saying what or what their motives are. People have given specifics, but you're still calling slander and saying you don't believe them. That's up to you, but on the flip side, why should anyone believe that you're not just trying blow smoke and distract people with mirrors?

You could be one of the mods for all anyone knows! You could be Devon!

No one's ever going to have complete certainty about anything here, and if that's what you're wanting you should probably go converse elsewhere.

Saying there's no elephant in the room doesn't change the fact that a lot of other people in this thread apparently do see an elephant.

Putting "Devon was mean to me, so I left the game" and the words "selfish" and "two-faced" in four different remixes isn't specifics. That's my issue here. If I should be ditching her, I want to know exactly why, but nobody has been able to show me that this isn't just OTT grudgewank.

So far, people in the last few anoncomm posts have:

> Posted information from her personal timeline and RL for wank material
> Exaggerated what happened in the app anoncomm post
> Ignored the fact that there were other members of the app team in that post saying the exact same things, all of which were clarified as mod-approved in the SC OOC post about the apps
> Keep repeating "the mods are corrupt" about various things but offering no proof
> Started bringing up wank from five years ago as "proof" that Devon is hateworthy

And none of that sits well with me. At all. I've been in SC for a long time and I have never seen anything to justify this kind of wank. She welcomes every new player, and buys (used to buy? I don't know if she does it anymore.) random players paid time, is on the app team, and never drops threads. If you have to dig up wank from years ago to get dirt on someone, then I don't think you have a solid case.

If that's smoke and mirrors, then fine. But this started being trashy and mudslinging when people began posting about her RL on here, and just got worse when people decided they were too good for an apology from her. I've only seen evidence on her side that she's trying to make amends, and getting nothing but resistance from the vicious people who are bullying her for something that happened five months ago.

This shit all started because people talked about Devon's long history of shitty behavior to them and others.

You're here trying to say that since you haven't seen it or been given "proof" then those people's experiences aren't legit and don't exist.

When people say that it's impossible to crit anyone in this game and have it taken seriously this shit is what they're talking about. YOU and what you're doing right now.

Nothing in this post has been crit. This is gossip. You can't call it as crit when you keep repeating "but they'll never change" and it's not addressed to the person it's about. You can't expect gossip to be taken seriously, and you can't say that someone asking for evidence to support gossip is discouraging crit. They're completely different things.

So she's a good person because she buys things for people?? Srsly?

But no one has posted anything about her RL. The only things that anyone has posted are things that she constantly brings up and brags about herself, and they've only done it to compare behavior she's proud of in one area to her behavior in another area.

Since when does someone simply saying "I'm sorry" count as them really meaning it or demonstrating a change in their ways? Why should anyone who's been wronged by someone accept that and not be skeptical of it?

You're talking about things that don't sit well with you, but it doesn't sit well with me how one-sided you're being, disregarding people's concerns about someone's conduct out of hand. Anyone can say they're sorry. That's not proof at all that they mean it or intend to change.

Also, for the record, I don't remember seeing anything about Devon on the last few anoncomm or anticirclejerk posts before this one.

She's a good person because of a lot of things, but yeah, I think that buying people paid time is pretty nice. She has a temper, and I've already said that she was very touchy in the rpanon thread about the apps. Her conduct has been nonexistent since October, though, and I don't know why it's coming up again now when she's been making a point of avoiding people OOCly.

It started on the last hate meme post, with the mod drama.
