tbh, contacting her is probably the best way to go about this. you don't have to do it signed in, but if you get one of her journals that are anon enabled and vent there, it's just as good as iming her or contacting her. at the moment, she's sort of freaking out on who to drop and where because of the problem.

it's a valid one and you sound like you do want to play with her, but she kinda needs to know this stuff.

I don't know about mod favoritism, but the 'clique' definitely thinks they're special snowflakes who don't always need to pay attention to the rules. I always assumed the mods were just too lazy or worried about bitchy backlash to do much about it.

Non-con. I know it's just a kink and the majority of people who are into it would never hurt anyone but it just gives me the heebie-jeebies how it's sometimes OOCly often treated like "the character wanted it even though they were saying no" when that's a common excuse for rapists.

And I don't even kink-shame anyone over it because I don't care if other people do stuff with it that I'm totally uninvolved in. As long as I'm left out of it, I'm fine with other people's kinks. But if they spring it on my character or someone else's character in a thread I'm participating in without checking to see that everyone's comfortable with it, it skeeves me right the fuck off. I had someone threadhop and spring the molestation of my character's SO in front of my character a thread on me in dear_mun once, and that made me go from neutral about it to wanting people into it to stay right the fuck away from me.

I know it's not really fair to think everyone who has the kink is like that, but I've had more than one encounter with people that don't understand why others might be uncomfortable with it that cross personal boundaries. So it's less shaming for the kink itself and more like behavior of some of the people who have it. Kind of like not hating people for liking a particular canon but hating how some people act in a fandom.

I actually don't care that they're cliquey. My inbox is full enough without having to bother with them. Better that someone blatantly ignore and drop my tags and let me know they don't care about playing with me than give half-assed tags that waste my time when they don't actually want to develop meaningful CR.

But their attitude pisses me off like nothing else. Do they really think they can white wash their behavior with lame excuses and we're all just going to buy it? Either they think we're complete morons or they're pretty dumb themselves.

It's not that we need them to tag us. We need them to own up to their crappy behavior and stop blaming it on the other players in the game being jealous or not tagging out enough. And we need new/existing players to understand that it's not THEIR fault that these cliquey players drop their tags and ignore them entirely.

I'm sure most of us, at this point, are happy enough with our CR in the game that we don't need theirs and we're mostly annoyed enough with them that we don't WANT it, either.

We don't complain in the hopes they'll tag us. We complain because it's shitty behavior and we're pointing it out and commiserating about it.

The solution here isn't for them to tag all the angry anons. The solution is for them to stop being assholes about their already dickish behavior.

I don't see why anime fans get so bent out of shape over people not wanting to tag their characters. It isn't like 98% of most games are full of other anime fans who DO want to tag them. Go play with them.

I've never had to nag her into tagging me either. But I have waited weeks for a single tag from her. If she wants to drop a thread or a log, that's cool with me, but tagging two weeks after the fact repeatedly is really not cool.
