I don't know about mod favoritism, but the 'clique' definitely thinks they're special snowflakes who don't always need to pay attention to the rules. I always assumed the mods were just too lazy or worried about bitchy backlash to do much about it.

There have been a few instances where game-wide plots weren't run by the mods when they should've been and I remember they once e-mailed a mod about something and when the mod didn't answer them fast enough, they just went right on with what they wanted to do without the mod's okay.

Nothing major, but few players would have the balls to do that kind of thing. Might be where the other anon got the idea of 'mod favoritism' from.

There have been a LOT of instances where things were run by players. That's how the game works. Mods don't need to run every plot, and in a game that's driven by player plots, it's what keeps us from stagnating. Anything game-wide always has the mod's okay.

And I remember the instance you're talking about. There was a misunderstanding where they got one mod's approval and the mods then hadn't had a chance to talk. The mod who hadn't seen what was going on saw it in the game and came down REALLY hard on them before it was all sorted out.

So no, no mod favoritism there.

Hi, anon fail.

This is flat out not true. There was a game-wide plot run by one player, who got in touch with mod one via AIM and got permission. Then mod two said 'why didn't you email?!' There was a brief lag before the two mods got in touch with each other in which no one was sure if the plot had been given permission. The two mods talked, everyone decided it as a big misunderstanding and that from now on official emails would be game policy, then mod two *apologized* to the player in question for having accidentally caused drama about the plot permission aspect, the plot was allowed to continue.

Seriously, I have little no CR with them, but at least don't lie about this shit to prove your point.
