I feel bad because I was the one who brought this up on the last meme, but I'll do my best!

The game is really friendly and welcoming, and I don't know of any wank about it. I have several friends who play there and love it--there's no cliques or anything, everyone tags everyone evenly, and they have a wide selection of characters that is always fun. Like, they have (or did have last I heard) a Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, a Ren from Ren and Stimpy, and then Autobots/Decepticons from all different canons. They also accept OCs, and the one I've seen is a fully-fleshed character instead of a self-insert Gary Stu/Mary Sue. The problem is this:

Before Update 88, when LJ decided to bone every RPer, there was a Leon from Resident Evil who apped there. But when he apped, he also posted to dear_mun with terrible format, grammar, spelling, all of it was just horrible. He was rejected. He made a d_m post about that in the same format, talking about just re-apping. He re-apped, another dear_mun post, another rejection, ANOTHER DEAR_MUN POST. Then he apped Leon AGAIN because they don't/didn't have a cap on how many times you could re-app...at the same time he apped an anime character (I think it's Kamina, but I could be very wrong, I just remember he had orange shades/glasses), and most of it was c/ped from his wiki. His Leon app was poorly written, and he couldn't be arsed to look up or calculate simply details, like fudging his age with something along the lines of "It's not certain, but I'd say late 20s or very early 30s" when he has an age in canon at a certain year and you just have to count up. They rejected his anime character app and called him on plagiarizing, adding that he shouldn't app again because that was unacceptable and they wouldn't read it.

Then there was the move to DW, and there was some AU My Little Pony princess unicorn (Celestia?) with the name solar_tyrant (if my coding doesn't work, it's "solar_tyrant") who had poorly cropped/done icons, some of her covered with splashes of blood, and did a dear_mun post about the game and the app and tagging the game and everything (like the Leon did on all his posts, tagging the game). I can't remember if they were rejected or just didn't app, but there was a d_m post not too much later about how they'd have to try again blah blah blah

Now there's this "Steve?" guy running loose like a rabid dog in a busy train station all over dear_mun, replying to damn near every post. Apparently he's some guy from Minecraft that has no personality or anything. They posted, tagging Ink City, and talked about just joining the spams comm and maybe apping at one point. I checked their journal because they replied to a post I made and...they were already stalking all the IC comms and had atrocious icons.

So, really, it's nothing about the game, it's just either being trolled some crazy ass fuckers or some crazy ass fuckers have no idea how to do anything.

there was also that weird MLP/improbable island crossover OC, too. xelunknown or something? too lazy to dig up the links but it was an awful mary sue pony, got rejected repeatedly and then eventually told not to app again after whining pathetically all over d_m.

and for reference, btw: steve is the name given to the default skin your character gets in minecraft-- you know, the sandbox game with no storyline or characters with personalities, aside from what you imagine yourself. his icons are of just the face of the default skin with minor edits, which is fucking terrible because if he at least took screencaps of the 3D model you can make them into passable icons.

so yeah i don't know what the fuck the player is thinking at all. definitely an overeager puppy who keeps shitting on the carpet kind of guy, except no one has to heart to rub his nose in it.

yeah I wasn't following that too closely, I just remembered reading about that one pony and wondering if it was some sort of gag character.
