i'm not the op, but i think it was put here so it would be easily seen. i also want to know their accounts so i can avoid them, so i'm not complaining.

Pretty sure I put this on an older meme, but here goes

If you see a John Constantine from movies or comics with icons credited to "detefabula" or "redweth" it's either them or someone they know, because they only have so much and there's plenty of other good icons of them that they just don't seem to care for. They also play from Bleach, Aizen and Ichigo. I don't know about plurks, but their usernames on LJ and their screennames on AIM were the same as that. "dete" also plays a Lucifer from the Sandman comics, and when I saw one on dear_mun I seriously side-eyed it but their icons didn't match with their usual set.

They kind of ran Hellpointe into the ground by the end, though, and they treat players like crap most of the time, and they have a habit of carrying CR from years ago to their games. I know they ran out a certain Zatanna player from KOG by having both Constantines (redweth plays movie, dete plays comics) do all this work, and Lucifer (dete again) getting involved...they ship Lucifer/movie!John (or did back then) and pretty much ignored her despite really wanting her in the game and encouraging her to app.

They also had some OCs at KoG, one who was a lawyer that they played nice with for quite some time before turning tails and deciding to shut down/end the game without really talking to the players. They left that one in the dust and made Hellpointe, though I don't recall if they played any actual Silent Hill characters. They made it extremely difficult for characters to get any CR with them besides themselves, and if anyone wasn't superpowered or from Silent Hill/went there, it was kind of useless to play them. I know that by the end they seemed to just ignore it, but I wasn't there for that. That's all I can recall at the moment.

I believe they ran everyone out of the game. From what I've heard about KOG from the people involved was that they didn't want to drop CR and after Lucy was dropped from the game on a technicality (because of a plot, her character was unable to make AC), Amanda and Mandy and Beck followed. I know that a few people from CnC were in the game earlier in, but either dropped or idled out because of the ridiculous AC rules they'd come up with.

Yeaaaaah. They talked about allowing OCs, but they were picky about who could app them, I heard later, but they still had an extreme amount of them. I know they at least read Hellblazer, but I'm not sure how "extreme" they are into the rest of DC/Vertigo comics since I've only ever seen them play those three characters, so if the game was based on the Nolan movies, that would make more sense to me.

Either way, I'd rather not hear about them sucking the good out of any Batman/Crane/Riddler/Robin/insert person here like they did with their other characters, please.

I think one of them played a really bad Phantom Stranger, but I'm not sure if it was them.

I think the RP world would be better off without them in general. People are still hung-up on them being assholes for a reason. I think if they hadn't repeated themselves that they might have been ignored and left to play however they want, but they did the same thing and made people feel like they were shit.

I haven't been able to find it since they either screened or deleted all of KOG's stuff, but I heard that on the FAQ they had ranted about how people who played in dressing rooms were so much more low quality than them and had another rant in RPS about how original characters take so much more effort to play and all canon characters are played by people who can't think for themselves or some such nonsense.

You know what's funny to me hearing this? It's funny because KOG and Hellpointe seemed to "die" when they lost interest, and KOG was a game I hadn't heard of before until I RPed with an OC from there/looked into Hellpointe/them at all. It's like they make games just to avoid DRs entirely and then toss them away when they're not really feeling it anymore, but they're so strict on certain things that it's really more like a musebox with an overarching plot.

I also remember that several of their character logs were just them playing with each other. I saw one that was movie!Constantine and Lucifer getting sloshed and having sex or something, and it was around night time when shit got real and Silent Hill-like animals came crawling out to eat people and creep around. And there they were, threading smut terribly like it was okay. They had brought in like a year or something of previous CR, but it was so early into the game I couldn't do anything but cringe IRL and shake my head. Jesus Christ, elitists.
