Wrong. The fact that no one considers that these guys might like girls or even be bi and that all I ever see is m/m stuff being discussed and treated like it's all that could exist just bothers me. If you're thinking about what happened in confusion those HK subs had given people who didn't have the resources or the knowledge of translation, then yes, some shippers were pretty misguided. Get your story straight.

There are those of us that have been in the fandom for years and know this fact.

I DO play a het bi-curious male and have been playing him like that for years. Dig a little deeper, you might be surprised. I wonder where you get your sources from and fanfiction doesn't count. Most that write those stories are picking up where some of those that shipped them years ago had outgrown.

These were the subs that were translated from Japanese to Chinese back to Japanese so everything that was put into English became mistranslated and screwed up. Reading them read like some kid just threw up words on the screen.

They are inaccurate subtitles and most of them, especially Battle City and anything after as ships and thought of as canon when it's not the case. The mistranslations caused a lot of interesting and otherwise inaccurate interpretations of canon which is where most of the ships came from.

The op anon probably didn't know this which is why I pointed it out.
