Report threads here.

I am going to delete all the dumb, aspergers worthy discussion threads.

this is not the place for talking about butts and farts and shrimp. take that to your plurk or rpanons.

also, to anyone in that plurk because i know you're furiously f5ing this meme and shlicking to the idea of being namedropped, maybe you should stop blaming the hate meme and start blaming the two-faced bitches you associate with who leak your private shit.

hth, mouthbreathing motherfuckers.

"No kidding. This breach of privacy can be argued on the fact that the people posting the caps were given permission to be in the private links. So the fault isn't on Anticirclejerk or the ACJ mod, but the component that decided to make the screencap." - Anon

basically.

i don't even try to make my own posts, though. open memes are more fun to me.

pretty much.

i think the ones who are complaining are the people who either a. have tl;dr posts that involve way too much yet are still bland or b. have those [MY CHARACTER IS TIED TO A BED COME HELP THEM?] posts.

A better solution than limiting open meme posts is to bring in more open posts where people can put their own set-ups in the initial posts.

That way the 'tied to a bed!' and 'elaborate set up' people might actually get more bites due to an influx of people from bakerstreet and elsewhere that might not usually come.

GOD i hate both things so much. so so much. especially if people's tl;dr posts don't get a bite and they repost the same post a week or two later and the cycle continues. if no one wanted to reply the first time, no one's going to reply the next time.

another thing asides from the tied to the bed scene that irks me is the bland intros most people feel obligated to make. i just push my characters into an event if i do make a post and i'm "intro-ing" them. fuck that. you gotta be creative if you want replies.

nemo epitomizes type a and gets hugely butthurt when nobody tags into her boring oc's posts so yeah not surprised to see this at all

too bad everyone would just go to bakerstreet instead of tagging into posts that don't interest them

you think this might be why she's wanting to get rid of open posts or at least control them?

Nemo's posts are so fucking bland and self-centered. I'd crit them on it if he/she/zerg wouldn't melt the fuck down.

deets on how they're bland and self-centered? i never actually look at them.

(Anonymous) 2012-04-09 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
lmao that's probably why you don't. It's been a while since I've read Nemo's stuff, and obviously this is just my perspective, so take it with a grain of salt.

But mostly the posts seem to focus so much on their characters that there's never really much to react to. They are often not very conducive to smut due to setup or Nemo's character choices, and smut is what a lot of us are here for since TLH is, y'know, a sex DR. They're long, contain a lot of irrelevant detail described in a very dull way, and read more like pretentious, self-indulgent fanfiction than something for roleplaying purposes.

That, and Nemo will always take forever and a year to tag back, if ever.

i don't look at them because her oc is the most boring thing ever, yet she won't shut the fuck up about it.

(Anonymous) 2012-04-09 09:48 pm (UTC)(link)
i've actually never once talked to Nemo OOC, so you have my sympathy.

This exactly. I don't mind a more involved setup but nemo's posts are more about showcasing her character than providing a hook for someone to springboard off of to build a SHARED story. They really are more like fanfic.
