Except for Aradia's and Vriska's (and maybe a little bit Karkat) most of the ancestors aren't anything. We know nothing about them except for a couple pictures and a story told like a fable about them.

They're basically OCs. All of them.

I think you can add Condesce onto there, since she's Feferi's Ancestor and a Big Bad of Act 6

I think she has more to go off of than Handmaid, though. But all the rest have pretty much nothing.

Actually I'd say Karkat's ancestor is the single WORST choice for an ancestor to play because we know so little of what his demeanor was like. Did he swear? And so many other questions. It could go either way, just like how we all misinterpreted his re6elli9n thing.

So yeah. Mindfang is virtually the only legitimately playable one. Handmaid and Condesce are getting there.

That's pretty much it.

Now that we're past the "don't even know their full names" stage, I can safely say that I find apping ancestors much worse than apping alpha kids.
