I am going to delete all the dumb, aspergers worthy discussion threads.

this is not the place for talking about butts and farts and shrimp. take that to your plurk or rpanons.

also, to anyone in that plurk because i know you're furiously f5ing this meme and shlicking to the idea of being namedropped, maybe you should stop blaming the hate meme and start blaming the two-faced bitches you associate with who leak your private shit.

hth, mouthbreathing motherfuckers.

If they're decent players, they can get over it. The mods have always frozen any and all harassment, IPs can be tracked if the harasser is anonymous, and all in all the hmds have always been positive environments to crit and be critted. There is legitimately zero reason someone open to crit would have a problem with it.

And the hmd does admittedly end up being mostly asspats, but the people who need critted the most are usually the ones who get it. Like I said, it's a positive environment, and I can't buy someone having ~issues~ with posting to it that manage to be legitimate.

^this.

There have been people who have been concritted and handled it maturely in the past, such as Stephanie who is no longer at CnC. She took it to heart and improved and people told her that she did improve. On the other hand, a lot of people have reacted immaturely to it as if they are being personally attacked when someone leaves them signed-in, well thought out crit.

There are asspats, but it's not like other gamewide HMDs I've seen. Often when someone is being asspatted it's when they're concerned about their playing and when they've asked for specific feedback or in some cases when it is a new character/player and people just want them to feel appreciated.

This.

C&C's HMD is one of the least asspatty I've seen across DW and LJ RP. The majority of the players seem to understand that there is a time and place for asspats and that HMD is not a love meme.

And as you said, there are examples of people taking logged in (and anonymous) crit in a graceful manner, just as there are examples of people reacting to crit in a horribly immature manner. It really depends on who is being critted, and sometimes on who leaves the crit. Certain players in this game just won't take crit, whether it is given anonymously or logged in. And certain others have a documented history of turning any criticism they receive into a perceived attack. Those people are few and far between, thankfully. Most everyone else seems to be able to conduct themselves like adults.

I remember that. I really respected her for how she responded to the crit she received and even the wank on RPS.

Even if I don't agree with how someone portrays a character, if they try to improve and are cool about it I'll be happy to tag around with them.
