I wasn't sexually abused as a kid, but I was a victim of rape in early high school...I didn't keep count either. Nobody would.

Well, the fact that they're a rape victim (supposedly) doesn't mean they aren't assholes. I mean, I've met rape/abuse victims who treat other victims like shit for not handling their trauma in exactly the same way their ~speshul selves~ did. :/

I'm not saying this Natsume person hasn't actually been raped, because I don't know her. But I work with young teenagers, like she claims to be, and a lot of them seem to think that rape just means "sexual interaction", wanted or not.

Like, smacking a girl on the ass is rape, telling a girl you think she's pretty and you want to date her when she's not interested is rape, etc. And all sex to them is rape, including cybersex.

What kind of thirteen-year-olds are you working with? It wasn't long ago that I was that age myself, and I never heard anyone talking about rape like it was something other than forced intercourse.

Sure, they could be stupid sometimes and make jokes about how they felt 'raped' when a weird guy started talking to them, but it wasn't like they were actually serious.

Just saying I am 100% sure she is not lying about her age or the rape.

That aside, people deal with trauma in very different ways and while rape jokes aren't funny, it's also offensive to assume that someone who remembers and copes differently from you is lying about their experience. Honestly everyone who has done so is no better than she is.
