just dropping in to say that my character isn't particularly popular and they got mentioned. maybe it was more a matter of which entries might be easier to make interesting/individual comments on, since a lot of experiment related posts are similar.

also, re: focus on 'modly duties', maybe he just thinks that's likely to be what people on his timeline are most interested in as opposed to his personal life.

it's not the fact that he focuses on them, it's the fact that he's such a condescending asshat about it. the way he goes about it, with remarks like /looks at observations, /thinks about doing applications, /looks over scheduled experiments, is extremely condescending and holier-than-thou. He should just fucking post the observations or do the applications or whatever instead of plurking about them in a nearly passive-aggressive way, like he thinks he's some kind of overlord dangling a piece of meat in the faces of the "common" players.

and he shouldn't even mention the upcoming experiments. we fucking get that you know what the upcoming shit is. shove it up your ass.

yeah, it's mostly just incredibly irritating at worst, and he's the only mod who does anything like that? but it's still really rude, imho. I kind of wish one of the other mods would tell him to knock it off.

I just asked him about observation submissions and because of the intern to robot format change he says no one has been submitting observations except for one person. I think he just forgets to put it up. He's been busy on Friday's with work.

When he sees this and I'm making a point to show him this, he'll most likely stop. He doesn't look at these most of the time unless someone shows it to him. But if you don't like his plurks, remove him. I doubt he'll take offense now that everyone will think he's an 'asshat'.

I know for a fact that Desh does every post can on observations. Look through the posts and you'll see there's one for each. Its the other mod we see that does not do it right. I think he mentioned before that he only does wednesday through saturday.

I could be wrong. He's the most self sacrificing person I know and if he's posting all of these things on his plurk, he might thing he's being helpful. Its irritating sometimes but I think he'll stop trying to help thanks to you.

I'll never forget what a big baby he acted like over the reaction to the Apokolips F3. Some players were being overly whiny, too, but he just flipped out at anyone giving negative feedback and made a bunch of passive-aggressive plurks about how awful the players were for not sucking it up (when a lot of people had valid crit) or just trusting that the mods would make it amazing.

I'm pretty sure he was flipping out at people because Catie/the mod account was receiving a lot of nasty PMs about the F3, so I think a lot of it was justified. Desh is really PA in general, so being PA about the negative feedback is just typical anyway.

jesus christ I don't even care about any of this other shit. I don't even check observations half of the time. the point of my complaint is the way he comes off as condescending on plurk. I'm not trying to bully him out of the game, but honestly I barely even interact with him if at all so I don't give a shit either way. I want him to stop being rude on plurk. end of discussion.

I would suggest defriending him from plurk then if you don't interact with him at all. I admit his teasing and wording are harsh sometimes. As loud and jokingly aggressive as he can be with his demanding of things, he's really not that bad of a guy. He's sure to have seen this by now and will react to it.
