I don't smoke, I actually hate the smoke, but so much +1 to this. There's piling of blurring the Ic/ooc line there plus that-doesn't-work-that-way plus muse oocness.

If your muse has a characteristic you don't like, you either:
a. suck it up and deal with it
b. choose another character to play

Of course the development can be played correctly but most of the times I've seen it's just... no.

(Which is a pity, because someone wiht an addiction suddenly quitting can add fun shenanigans. Seriously, have you ever seen anyone on withdrawal?)
