okay for real...what is the deal behind Renne's big hang up on sex/romance?

It's a few things.

1. She's asexual and doesn't understand the appeal.
2. Every friend with sexual urges has ABANDONED HER ZOMGZ in favor of whoremongering.
3. Friends with an interest in writing smut no longer have their lives revolve exclusively around her. See #2.

So it's in essence that friend who's way-jealous of their friend getting a boyfriend turned up to eleven. No, twenty. Because the boyfriend isn't even real, it's just RP.
