I hate how low the standards are for this fandom. I'm not part of it, but I have enough friends on plurk that are, and the amount of shitty fanart that gets passed around is astronomical. Same goes for cosplays that people fawn over, and I'm going to assume a lot of the fic is the same way.

I'll be the first to say that a really good artists are doing fan work for Homestuck, but they're totally eclipsed by absolute shit that everyone (for some reason) loves.
