I've tried reading it, I really have, and the brand of humour just doesn't click? I am applying some hyperbole, but I still don't quite see how that comic forms a coherent joke. Or... well... a coherent anything, really. Sorry, anon. :c

there's actually a shitton of continuity and coherency and very consistent character writing and some genuinely depressing/upsetting storylines (like anything involving philippe) mixed in with it and it all connects back together.

for one example, over the years, roast beef died, went to heaven, found a girl there, they both regained life, dated, and he struggled over the idea of marrying her and eventually went through with it. it was honestly really touching.

though yeah, it's its brand of humor. i grew up on stuff like this so it clicks with me, but it really is a comic for a certain mindset. i don't blame anyone who can't get into it, honestly. out of everything i actively read it is the one thing more than anything else that is definitely not for everyone and hardest for me to recommend.

if it misses it misses. if it hits then it hits like nothing else. unfortunately it's one of those all or nothing things. and i know this is the hate meme, but man, i hope you find something you do love and love it like i love achewood.
