i really thought i was the only one having trouble with him since a lot of people seem to like him.

i didn't think he would be so bad at first until he started shipping our characters together. i guess it's my fault too since the character i played was playful and flirty. he became really pushy about the ship and was all over my plurks whenever i would say about my character. during event plots, he'd make sure athrun was there to bother my character or what even though i already made plans with other people. he would private plurk me every time i miss tagging his threads.

i once told him that my character wasn't the type to pursue serious relationships (unless it's with her canon love interest) but that didn't really stop his advances.

and because he was so well-liked (or so i thought), i couldn't really tell people about the problem i was having with him. plus all the friends i made in route were his friends too. it got to a point where i just couldn't play my character anymore. he was the reason i dropped route in the first place despite having great CR with a lot of people because i couldn't post or tag without him hounding on me.

i may be outing myself at this point but i really don't care anymore. he's just someone i don't want to associate or play with after that experience. it really gave me a bad taste when it comes to shipping.

I have no interest whatsoever in whiteknighting Chris, but did you ever just tell him to stop flat out? Mentioning once that your character wasn't the type to pursue a serious relationship is one thing, and he clearly should have taken the hint, but if it didn't deter him any then the comment either went over his head or he was purposefully ignoring it. Telling him directly that you weren't interested in the ship would've just eliminated any room for him to play ignorant.

Anyway, it's always sad to me when one player essentially forces another to leave a game where they really enjoy playing. Sorry that happened.

admittedly i didn't, more because i had thought that (1)the message had gotten through and (2)it was obvious that i was shipping my character with someone else. most players i've encountered were usually graceful enough to step back over the smallest implication that i don't ship my characters so i had thought the same applies for him.

also during that time, he started shipping athrun with the idolmaster girls so i had assumed that the shipping thing with my character was over and done. apparently not. that definitely taught me never to assume anymore when it comes to rp.

but it's all right, anon. even with those experiences, i had a lot fun at route and it's been one of my memorable games so far.

man anon, the scary thing about this is even though you might think this is outing yourself... I can honestly think of a two or three different people parts of this might apply to

so yeah you're definitely not the only one

sorry you had to put up with him on that bad of a level though, anon. it always sucks when a single player can sour an entire game experience that badly
