That doesn't seem to be quite as common, and every time I've seen it, it's been a case of the mods letting a character in who should not be in a slice-of-life game. Which really dovetails neatly into a related issue - for fuck's sake, mods, be willing to tell your appers the characters they're apping do not fit the goddamn game. For every crybaby who pitches a fit, there'll be ten people who are utterly fucking relieved to not have to deal with the Joker in their domestic fluff game, or Rainbow Dash in the psychological horror setting.
