i used to play epicmafia with a bunch of people who played from one canon (no guesses as to that canon) and people that played because only care about yaoi.

the games were a decent way to kill time, but the ooc/ic drama kept on building and building to mind numbing levels. i actively avoid epicmafia now because of it.

I think it depends on how they lose. I know a couple players who are all "oh no I am horrible and useless because I DIED in a game where the entire thing is about killing other people" but I've also had games where I think it was pretty fair to be pissed off at my loss (like, say, half the mafia got veg'd three seconds after the night ended and then I was lynched out three seconds later by someone who confessed ICly to kicking).

But on the other hand, I didn't throw a fit, I just made a note not to play with that group again (and vented on here). :T

Yeah... the drama can be pretty ridiculous. I've hopped groups a few times already because of it, but I find the game itself pretty addicting, regardless of if I'm playing for CR or playing to win (courteously).
