There are some characters that show up only for activity check to make a post also. I literally forget they're in game until then as they never post otherwise or tag out, and I wonder why they even bother.

i hate the twisted view of friendship that exists all over the place in dwrp

it's grossly co-dependent and out of step with what real friendship is

being someone's friend doesn't mean enabling behavior that is harmful by soothing them

being someone's friend doesn't mean rubbing someone's butt if they receive justified criticism and throw a tantrum about it like a spoiled child

being someone's friend doesn't mean shouting down any justified criticism so their friend can feel free to ignore it

sometimes to be a real friend you need to be a jerk

sometimes you need to call your friend out when they're being an asshole and tell them their behavior is not ok

sometimes you need to say something that you know is difficult or outright hurtful to hear because it's for the sake of your friend's well-being

sometimes you need to be blunt and tell someone their behavior is self-destructive and that they are hurting themselves and need to get help, or pay attention to what the help they're receiving tells them to do even if it's hard

sometimes you need to outright walk away from someone rather than coddle behavior that is unhealthy or unacceptable to be a real friend because it's the only way that it will sink in to them that they need to reevaluate themselves

i will never stop being grateful to the friends that did those difficult things with me because they're the ones who really helped me to become a better person

the person who plays the current buffy is way stronger than you're giving her credit for. she wouldn't get bullied out by even tifa. she's been struggling with the muse for months now from what i've seen. but she's definitely trying. i love her buffy sfm.

Tough love is needed. I love my IRL friends especially but my internet ones as well that understand this. We keep each other in check and are better people because of it.
