Honestly I think most of the time a lot of the people trying to call out yaoi tend to pick the dumbest way possible to go about it most of the time.

Like ''x' is so macho he couldn't be gay,' ''x' has personality trait 'y' and therefore can't be gay' or 'men don't have emotions' rather than 'you're being hideously homophobic for reasons x, y, an z' or 'you're being horrendously OOC and that comes off as gross and fetishising/homophobic/misogynistic/all three bonus round option.'

Meanwhile when calling out yuri it pretty much goes straight to the 'you're being disgustingly misogynistic,' 'holy shit you're being homophobic with this,' or 'you seem to have had your character's personality surgically removed and that's creepy as fuck.'

I was going to app into this game now I'm not so sure.... is it really as bad clique wise as everyone says it is? I hadn't heard anything about it until I reserved.

It ... kind of is. It tends to be awesome until/if they decide that they don't want to play with you anymore, in which case immediate ostracism. It's also really hard for characters from new players to get any kind of traction.

To be perfectly honest, I would find a different game. You have better than even odds of it ending up a bad experience. And fairly significant chances of it being a really bad experience. Why do you think there's so much grudgewank in this thread?

That's fair, then. I was just surprised to find so much stuff on this place all of a sudden when it had appeared quiet and decently nice as far as newcomers. Then I saw that post up above there, with the moriarty thread, and I started side-eying. I think I'll wait and save myself some heartache, although it's disappointing because the cast I would be apping into seemed really welcoming. :c
