So these people... are describing themselves, right?

People who take "pretendy funtime games" seriously enough to fall into "despair" over something like this? People who are "so fucking petty" that they want to "destroy" a bunch of strangers gossiping about them?

I haven't said anything about this debacle yet, but I'm kind of ashamed at the fact that this seems to consistently be the default reaction to the slightest negative implication anymore. You have to act more obnoxious than the people talking badly about you because somehow that will make you... less obnoxious? more likable? I don't know what goes through people's heads. The more I see it, the less enchanted I am with people I once thought could handle themselves professionally.

I'd rather be associated with a community based on cheap internet hate than any group of people so lost in their own hype that they can't see how horrifically they contradict themselves at every turn.
