Has there been anything new or changed since the last post? There's no need for this if there wasn't.

After reading this and all the stuff last post, all I can think is, 'Geez, would you just look at all those extreme modifiers.' Always, never, everybody, nobody... I get that this is par for the course for her and her black-and-white view of things, but for goodness' sake, you'd think she was allergic to words like "usually" or "many" or something.

Kannagura deets:

Kannagura didn't allow OCs at the time Tally played there. (Not sure if they currently allow them or not.) But they had a fourth wall event and Tally posted Theta. When Theta didn't get enough tags by Tally's standards, Tally then flipped out on plurk, accusing people of being biased against her because she played OCs, and cussing out the mods when they tried to calm her down. She was on my plurk timeline when this took place and though I wasn't a direct participant, I remember it.

This lead to her being ejected and banned from the game.

Most LOL-inducing part for me was the "everyone's ganging up on me!" bit. Because one or two people going "no, step back" or "they said they'd consider OCs in the future, chill" is totes GANGING UP on someone.

Considering that list and her feelings on "the stigma of playing an OC," I wonder if she's ever tried/considered trying forum RPing. I kind of doubt it since she seems to only be concerned with how many tags she gets and how fast (IME, forum RPing moves slower), but... It'd just be kind of boggling if she didn't consider the place OCs tend to do better in.

Give back what you get and people will eventually either learn to do better or just move along.

i had a fridge logic moment after reading this in the faq:

Bandwidth is free. You can transfer information all you want and access information all you want. However, information storage and actual file hosting is very expensive. In other words: if you want to video-chat with someone on the other side of the Ark, it's no problem. If you want to host your blog, it'll cost you.

bandwidth is free and there's enough storage space to store a character's full memory and life experiences in the network (which is not even close to a trivial amount of information) but it's costly to host a blog?

so who's paying to host all that information that's accessible on the network if it's supposed to work like the internet and who pays for storing all the files involved in simulating the different vr hangouts? if storage is expensive doesn't this mean that all communication has to be real-time and that you can't leave messages or go back and review information that was posted on the network previously because that would be too expensive to store? recorded video messages are storage intensive.

i think someone doesn't understand how computers and computer networks work and didn't do enough research. how can you be a hacker if you don't have easy access to file storage for your hacking programs and stolen data? people don't write those kind of programs from scratch on the fly.

this doesn't seem very well thought out and i'm scratching my head now at the sky of diamonds wank because that game seems to have a more fleshed-out setting and materials yet it was allegedly plagiarizing this game? this ark concept also reminds me of that underwater mermaid ark game that flopped not too long ago.

What if the person who got namedropped first didn't really deserve it, though?
