I hate, hate, hate the Road Kamelot. Everything about her is OOC and by this point she's little more than a mouthpiece for the mun and a bitchy self-insert. I also hate that the mun is under delusions of being "the best out there" and unable to take any sort of criticism about her shitty characterization wihout flipping the fuck out and making bazillion butthurt plurks and passive aggressive posts everywhere.
But most of all, I hate that because her Road is so shitty I can't app in the character I want, because then I'd be forced to interact with her since they're close castmates.
I think her Road is pretty good, tbqh. The character has been in the game for two years (I've been a player for one and a half) and I've seen the character development, and from what I've seen it's been reasonable change.
I thought it was fine until I realized Road has been in game for half a year. She's at least thirty-five years old in canon and it kinda rubs me wrong that she's changed so much in so little time, comparatively.
I've read the character development, and it looks rushed and self-indulgent to me. Like she wants to get her to grow to reach a certain point, but she has no concept of proper pacing to get there. A lot of her reactions seem choppy and very disjointed, like she plays her like she wants her to be, and occasionally remembers what she's actually like in canon.
Add the bitchy, self-important attitude of the mun, OOCly from what I've seen and you get one hell of an off-putting image.
I can't answer to the points, but as the player posted on Plurk recently, no one has ever posted crit for her so she doesn't know what she can improve. Maybe you could use her HMD post to see what she has to say about your problems? I know she has a post in the character journal.
OOC-wise, she's really not that bad. Even though she's been getting hate on anon memes for the last few months she's actually a pretty reasonable person and would probably be glad to have the advice. I've pointed out some of my concerns about choices the character has made in the past, and she was able to explain the thought process and reasoning that Rhode was having behind everything very clearly to me.
Yeah, I get what she's trying to do, and it could be admirable, but it comes across as bitchy and judgmental even against anons who were discussing concerns, like when the beta thing was first rolled out.
That backfired like hell anyway, apparently she defriended a bunch of people from the game after that wanky mess.
