This is all from secondhand information; people can feel free to add more or correct me if I'm wrong.
But if I remember correctly, when Renne was in Trans9, Billy (as in Billy Cranston, the first Blue Power Ranger) was one of his friends, and Billy-mun was one of the few people willing to give R a chance and play with her despite her reputation. Then Billy got a girlfriend, and R considered this to be a huge betrayal for some reason because drama and threw a shitfit. So as revenge, R is going to have Zordon train Renne to be the Blue Ranger to replace Billy on the team.
You know, Billy, who is probably the LEAST hatable character out of that entire fucking franchise (though YMMV). Not to mention the fact that his player is a total sweetheart from what I know of her.
Now this is no doubt going to become part of Renne's speshil snowflake, totally un-retconnable-no-exceptions backstory, meaning another canon is going to have to deal with Renne magically knowing them wherever he goes. Not that there are a whole lot of Power Rangers players to begin with, much less from MMPR (though I'm sure she'll find a way for him to meet Rangers from other seasons), but still.
I knew she was pissed about Billy getting a girlfriend, and that she was (according to Billy's player) plotting with a Zordon player to break up Billy and his gf in a game they were all in together. But this is the first I've heard of Zordon training Renne to be a Power Ranger. Do you know where this was mentioned?
(And yes, from everything I have seen of that Billy's player she is very sweet and far more patient and understanding than someone like R deserves. It's a shame she's been dragged into all this drama.)
Some other anon is going to have to give specifics, I'm afraid; I've only seen it mentioned in passing on anoncomm, though this dear_mun post back in August by Renne http://dear-mun.livejournal.com/41234224.html seems to be the first hint of her wanting to do that.
