it doesn't make any of the points made in this discussion any less valid.

you didn't address anon's point, you just answered it with an inane question.

it does if your real complaint is "why aren't villain muns having their characters incriminate themselves to hero characters and rotting in jail for the majority of the game" but i'm giving you benefit of the doubt despite how little sense what you just said made

i don't play villains or from comics and i've found most of them really open and easy to get cr with. i also think it makes sense villains would have a lot of cr with each other, just how a lot of hero characters have a lot of cr with each other compared to with villains. they have tons of cr, villain or otherwise, outside of each other but i'm sorry if you've been having trouble getting in on it

you probably think it's so unfair to copcast when it's ic for characters to hate on cops

dda?

i think that the villaincast is pretty circlejerky but i don't think that there's anything wrong with a villain giving a cop or a superhero a hard time. it's ic for them to taunt and to escape jail or an asylum. not everyone who thinks that there's a clique is someone who is biased towards superheroes or cops i hate to tell you.

*when i say villaincast i meant the ones that were mentioned above specifically

(Anonymous) 2012-03-17 11:25 pm (UTC)(link)
the herocast is far more circlejerky, hate to tell you

since the game's creation, the marvelcast has been one giant circlejerk.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-17 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
since the game's creation, the marvel cast has come, gone, and been replaced by new people

everyone is cliquish to some extent, hero or villain. just let people play with who they want to and if you want cr with someone so badly, pm/im/email/plurk them? i know that it's hard to talk to people, but stop fucking complaining if you aren't going to put effort into playing. you only get what you give.

This.

Seriously, if you want to play with somebody, make an effort to do so. If you give no indication that you want CR with them, they may assume that you're just not interested. After all, not everyone even likes playing with the villains.

this is exactly what i was going to say. a lot of villains don't go out of their way to tag people not in a clique out of fear of ruining a dynamic or making a fun or silly post into something dramatic. if you don't try to talk to people, you'll never know if it's all in your head or not. all you risk is that you STILL don't have cr with a character, right?

Re: +1

Exactly! Personally, I don't desire antagonistic CR for all of my characters, and I don't want to make the assumption that others want to be harassed by my baddie. I'm often hesitant to tag people with my villain because I know some characters (and muns) don't want to deal with someone who enjoys antagonizing others. I'm more likely to tag with people who've either told me they enjoy him, people who've tagged into his posts, or his extended cast mates. If anyone wants CR with him, I hope they realize they can always tag me, or contact me about it. Otherwise, I'd rather not make someone uncomfortable with unsolicited skeevy villain-ness.

Different anon, but similar issues.

I also don't want people to feel like I'm godmodding their hero into a tight spot by making him SUPER OBVIOUSLY EVIIIILLL and how could the hero not do something. Maybe that person is busy or just isn't after that kind of plot/CR at the moment?
