Yeah, those views are definitely out there, it's very depressing. The thing is though it varies by community, and generally the misogynist trends aren't really as universal as in, say, Hetalia or Naruto or Avengers or what have you. Eridan and Vriska's positions, for instance, are often reversed in the right community.

I've been namedropped here by a grudgewanker before and so has one of my friends. Nothing came of it either time because there was nothing to wank about. Yeah, people can try to stir shit but if there's nothing to back it up it won't go anywhere and other people will probably call them on grudgewank. Go look at the namedrop threads right now, there are a few of them like that where people are asking for more details and/or calling grudgewank on the poster.

It's not a coincidence that the same names always pop up here. Those are the people whose bad behavior can be proven if it comes down to it.

I don't have a problem with anyone using the name droppings as a guideline for who to avoid. It's cool. You may very well be better off avoiding each and every single one of the condemned.

i have a theory about that last thing. she and her spike both apped and dropped within a month, and now scorched's buffy - who has been around for way longer - plurked about dropping too. tifa obviously wants to play with all her friends in the game. what's the percentage chance that this was just an effort to guilt the current buffy into dropping, freeing the character up for herself?
