and what if none of those things work? because they don't always work on all kids. you should know that much if you work with kids, different kids respond to different things..

They said "get creative", but clearly that's too much to ask for from you. If you've fucked up with your parenting to the point where beating your kids is the only option you feel you're left with? Then you've clearly screwed up as a parental figure. It's true that different kids respond to different things, but that doesn't negate the fact that you've done it wrong if you actually have to smack your kids for them to actually get it into their heads that they've done something wrong.

I'm sorry, but no. You sound like some first year psyche student who hasn't been around a real kid a day in your life. I laugh when people like you have the kids that are exceptions to all your neat little views of how the world works. I laugh hard.
