i actually agree here, anon. i was just using that broadly/loosely heart in the right place shit in the, quite literally, loosest of terms. i actually can't stand danzo period, but, it's important to note that the story intended to depict him as a well intentioned extremist. he wanted to perserve the hidden leaf village, but, he's ultimately a power hungry dick which is a major, major set back.

of course, he was flat out wrong all along and that's the point of his character. in naruto, heart triumphs coldness. that's why tsunade has been pointed out to be a fantastic leader again and again (By implications or otherwise) whilst danzo's track record has been horribly horribly poor. good intentions do lessen the burn from a bad decision, but when you continuously fuck up, cause everyone problems, refuse to learn from your mistakes and then repeat them? no, your rights to use the good intention excuse are just generally awful. i was actually rooting for sasuke when he fought danzo - that's how much i couldn't stand him. what really sealed the deal was during pain's invasion - instead of saving the villagers (what Tsunade nearly killed herself doing) - he just waited around for the throne, which, to me, would never Ever make for a good leader.

tl;dr: i agree with you, a+, holla, etc.
