I agree with this. He had it coming, it was hilarious but I disagree with him whining like a bitch. I don't know if the op noticed, but he basically tried to browbeat Hulk after all the other shit happened and really? He was desperate and had he been winning, he probably wouldn't have tried to take on the Hulk.

He's smart, if insane. But by the end of the movie, he was desperate, everything was falling apart and not going his way and this defeat was just fitting (if a bit overkill XD). And Loki IS the buttmonkey of both the comics and mythology, so it stands to reason this sort of thing would happen.

Eh, I like Loki. He's a fun, if also tragic, villain. I'll fangirl over him and his actor, but I know what you mean over the people creaming their shorts over him too. :/

Love the guy, the fanclub scares me. /endrant? Fff, sorry guys.

Tragic? Not as such, anon. So he was adopted. Big fucking deal. It's his own damn fault he couldn't deal and went all Dark Side on everyone who fucking cared about him. You know, like Odin and Thor. Seems to me his fans are using that one little fact to handwave and excuse the fact that he's pretty much stepped from being a wicked trickster to being utterly evil. I say this as a fan of Loki in both the movies and the comics.

Well, yes, I wasn't disputing nor excusing the fact that he was evil. But I do see him as a bit of a tragic villain. Not 100%, but a bit. Yeah, he couldn't deal, but he did what he did in the first movie out of a misguided notion that if he destroyed all of Jotunheim (and with only like, one person, to really try and help him get through finding out a rather traumatic piece of info on your race), everyone would love him. By the Avengers, pfft, he's just all evil and it's sad to see him go that way but also terribly fun. So, to me, he's a bit of a tragic villain, if also a very fun villain. That's just how I see him, I've never read the comics, I don't plan to, so this is just how I see him from what I've seen in the movies.

I can see where your coming from anon, but I still disagree. That's okay, though! I do see your point and your interpretation it a completely valid one. Thank you for sharing your view of Loki with me.
