people ignoring canon pairings in favor of slash? LE GASP

I actually really love the canon pairings in avengers, I just don't see how anyone could be surprised by slashers preferring fanon to some parts of canon, like they always do. It's not knew, it's not shocking, it's not worthy of OMG HOW DID THEY MISS IT? They missed it because they choose to ignore it. Easy.

it was the "Did everyone in fandom miss all that?" part, because no shit they didn't miss it, they just don't care. it was that you brought up the fact of those canon relationships existing as if people not seeing them is the issue, because if you're not new to fandom you'll know it isn't
