If people hiatus for any reason and have the gall to bitch about what happened while they were gone, I judge them.

I don't think this is what you were talking about, but if I may use your comment as a stepping stone here; I would much rather see players hiatus for their finals than sit on plurk and whine about how they have so much work to do and how they just want to RP. If that wasn't annoying enough, sad plurks when they inevitably miss their deadlines and fail make me want to punt them back to kindergarten.
