Then they need to advertise it, because all I see right now is a whiner who just stays quiet and then complains when people try to approach them and be nice despite not knowing this person doesn't want to be social.

I would imagine this isn't something they actually have said not anon.

I could be wrong. But then I doubt they'd have that issue.

I love becoming BFFs with people in rp, but I can see where they're coming from.

I've had this problem myself even after telling people I don't like to talk much OOC but am open for RP plotting. Some people really are that pushy. I have a hard time imagining someone being as angry about this as OP if they hadn't tried to tell people to back off first.

It gets irritating when people are nosy and try to push you to plurk and chat. I can empathize. I don't get that mad about it, but I can see where they might be coming from.

Meanwhile, I've been on the other side of the equation where someone randomly blew up at me out of nowhere because I asked them if they were having a good day. No indications they didn't like being talked to OOC beyond plotting.

I've had people shout at me on the street just for saying hi. Some people are just batshit. I don't think that has much to do with what OP was talking about, tho. Then again maybe OP is the one who blew up at you. lol Who knows?

There really *are* a lot of very entitled people with boundary issues running around the LJ/DW RP world. They're the people that get bitched about in this community all the time. I think a lot of people expect too much out of RP partners and make a lot of assumptions about people who don't want them all up in their business that they probably shouldn't make. If you're ruining people's enjoyment of playing with you by intrusive OOC behavior, you're probably doing something wrong.
