Perhaps what you're calling spanking is actually beating. There's a huge difference. Stop blaming other people for your own shitty decisions.

Every few days? Sounds more like legit abuse. My parents only saved spanking for when I did something truly terrible, and then most of the time the just threat of one was enough punishment.

Spanking was used on me to make a point, which meant it was something that rarely happened, and like you just the threat alone was often enough to get me to stop doing something.
