Then just say you don't do placeholder threads which is what they're tagging for. They put a thread up for when another finishes. You just ignore them until one of the other threads finishes or the other person vanishes.

I've never actually heard of a place holder tag, I've only encountered people who are all 'oh please, oh please ignore the tag limit you set just for meeeeee'

place holders would probably be the worst thing ever for me, I'd probably end up needing to delete all the extra tags asap lest I freak the fuck out and drop all the threads in the post at once.

basically I'm kind of retarded in the way that the more watched I feel the slower and less I respond.

You might be me, anon. Just looking at rows and rows of tags makes me nervous. They're like this massive barrier to completion, even if I've already told myself that I'm not going to respond to all of them, just a few.
